Resumen
The opportunity for this essay arises from an inter-university research and exhibition about the work of architect Camillo Boito (1836-1914),which was presented in the Project Gallery of the Politecnico di Milano (2021- 2022). Boito›s work is relevant since he dedicated himself to defining a ‹national style› for the projects of the new united Italy (1861), exploring and enhancing the formal and stylistic contents of the country›s two-thousand-year history of architecture His work was based on his own archeological studies and included directing exemplary restorations.
