Sobre la Enseñanza del Diseño de Indumentaria. El desafío creativo (enseñanza del método)
Abstract
Fashion Design is the core subject of the career of Fashion and Textile Design.
It does not contain a latent doctrine, but it is learning by doing. That is, first you learn to
design clothing items and then you learn in the practice of doing. It is not a knowledge
about discursive characteristics, but rather practical. The fashion design projects are simulated experiences, a relationship between fabrics and the limits or body contours. Teaching
in a fashion design class develops from the finished product -called the project- which
consists of different stages of learning. The need for the realization of this product-project
is a precondition for understanding the design process. With this article, the author aim
to identify some considerations about the interrelationships between design, teaching and
learning, including an analysis of the stages which textile and design students have to pass
through to reach different levels in design practice.
