Abstract

Since mid-nineteenth century, fashion and photography are two perfect fetishes for
expressing the soul of coming Modernism. Both incorporate, in an exemplary manner, certain
changes in dressing and contemporary aesthetics that characterize deeply, the beginning of the
twentieth century. During the nineteenth century, however, the photography competes fiercely
with the pictorial tradition to share a space too narrow for two demanding suitors. Therefore,
before becoming one of the key tools for the construction of an imaginary fashion, photography seeks its identity for several decades, following a process that will take it to the fashion industry among the brilliant intuition of great designers, publishers and author design. pioneers
