Prefacio

Abstract

The Design in Perspective section, under the Coordination of who writes, contains articles from professionals, researchers and educators invited from Latin America, are representing the disciplines of design, architecture, urbanism, art, multimedia, vision of industry, business, entrepreneurship, among others organized according to four thematic categories that cover some of the contemporary design scenarios in the region related to (a) reflections on design, (b) sustainable design, (c) transition towards sustainability and (d) transition design. The last section (d) Transition Design contains a report of retrospective and continuous impact, of the Experience Design in Perspective, Design Scenarios implementation, which analyzes the period 2014_2 to 2016_2 inclusive that are corresponding with 5 consecutive commissions of the subject Design IV of the Master’s Degree in Design Management (First Project of Line Nº4 research is being developed). This line incorporated the exploration, reflection and research linked to the Transition Design Program (Carnegie Mellon University) to the Master in Design Management (DCUP), which this prestigious University develops at the Doctorate and Masters level in the United States. The benefits and auspicious results of its impact report have made possible the beginning of its second project called Design Visions Project in 2018.
