Prólogo
Abstract
Violence, both physical and symbolic, puts into perspective a type of society where the naturalization of certain practices and modes of thought is latent. Domination, silence, omission are some of the mechanisms of violence that underlie different societies and that can be traced back to audiovisual discourses. This Notebook is a joint production between the University of Palermo and the University of Quilmes whose main objective is to delve into the violence that appears implicitly or explicitly in the different modes of audiovisual representation. A violence that underlies today's society and that comes to light from the analyzes proposed by the authors. The articles invite you to reflect on this topic and its social repercussion, contributing new ideas and views. The joint work of both institutions supposes an enrichment of points of view that adds new approaches and visions to this subject.
