Abstract

“Before becoming work, thought is a journey” is the cornerstone laid in this article to construct a building based on the personalities of two intellectuals: Andréi Tarkovsky (1932-1986) and Tomás “Wimpy” García (1942).

The textual architecture is structured in the form of interviews, as a collage. Regarding the Russian film-maker Andréi Tarkovsky, his book Martyrology was used. As regards the Argentine architect Tomás “Wimpy” García, interviews carried out by the author on different occasions in the city of La Plata were drawn on.

Standing on this threshold, the question arises: What is the “pattern that connects” these two intellectuals and the interest of the author?
