Prólogo: Diseño, artesanía y comunidades
Abstract
The crafts field is currently undergoing transformations that have given rise to new categories. On one hand, the sector is showing professionalization. On the other, the need for joint efforts in education, promotion and communication, as well as the incorporation of technologies that make these processes possible. This project is set out to analyze the current ways of shaping and thinking about the art, design and crafts’ communities, investigating as well the characteristics of the problems found in the intersection between the handcraft industry , technology and sustainability.
