Abstract

Research Project 2.2 presents different designs, not only those of an innovative nature, but also those that may have a current or potential capacity to generate positive social impact in the region. The theoretical production was based on the concept of Social Design, a name used here to demarcate the difference between productions aimed at solving social / humanitarian problems, from those devoted to the development of commercial products and services. From this perspective, social design only achieves its end through social innovation, that is, through the generation of unprecedented responses to collective needs that substantially improve the lives of people, communities, neighborhoods, cities and / or regions.
