Abstract

Research Project 16.5 presents -the 2014-2015 Cycle thesis works- whose articulation accounts for the extensive and qualified scientific work that the Postgraduate policy of the Faculty of Design and Communication of the University of Palermo formulates through its Master in Design, in a categorization of the Theses proposed and defended during the different academic cycles. Thesis projects propose a new look at the problems of design and the fields that intersect with this discipline, where each of the research levels work on the result of an intentional search for knowledge and solutions to questions that may be of cultural and / or disciplinary training character. The Master's Degree in Design has been dictated since 2001, promoting in design professionals a complete training in methodological, technical and operational aspects leading to greater disciplinary integration. The purpose of the Master's Thesis work is to ensure that the teacher develops academic skills and abilities that allow the identification and diagnosis of specific problems within their area of competence, evidencing a critical and innovative attitude.
