Abstract
Research Project 16.6 presents -the 2016-2017 Cycle thesis works- whose articulation accounts for the extensive and qualified scientific work that the Postgraduate policy of the Faculty of Design and Communication of the University of Palermo formulates through its Master in Design, in a categorization of the Theses proposed and defended during the different academic cycles. On this occasion, it also compiles the summaries of the Thesis of the Doctorate in Design, of the period 2017 and 2018. The articulation of all the Thesis projects, exposes the intentional search for knowledge and solutions to problems that may be of a cultural and / or disciplinary training nature , where we work exhaustively on each project, cementing a process that goes from the construction of a guiding idea, towards the development of an investigation that enables new readings and different results, which transforms the proposals addressed in the empirical order, in another of scientific rigor, reaching different interpretations of the results and of the phenomena that produced those results. The Faculty of Design and Communication has organized the academic production in twelve major areas, each teacher locating his Thesis in one, or in more than one of these areas, explaining the disciplinary, professional and thematic field of belonging, and making reference to the production developed in this field: 1. Audiovisual, 2. Corporate and Business Communication, 3. Communication and Advertising Creativity, 4. Art and Culture, 5. Visual Design, 6. Design of Spaces, 7. Design of Objects and Products, 8. Fashion, 9. Multimedia, 10. Business and Management, 11. Pedagogy of Design and 12. Theater and Show.
