Abstract

The Design Advanced Studies Seminar is built through the presentation of researches, generally of a doctoral nature, that shows the current agenda of the discipline in our region. All this alternatives, even though, not always immediately replicable, collaborate to enrich the constellation of knowledge generation options, which epistemologically constructs design from its different specificities, in terms of object of study. Many times, when listening to analytical perspectives on buildings or industrial objects, new problems adaptable to clothing, image, interior design or graphic design arise. Innovation in a young discipline, like design, generates amazement and admiration, resulting in a motivating and oxygenating the spirit for doctoral students without moving them away from their routine of effort and work. In particular, the international edition of the course deals with what happens in Latin American research. For this reason, researchers from Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Spain, Mexico and Paraguay were present in our Doctorate through virtual classrooms.
