Color Urbano: Patrimonio, Identidad y Paisaje Urbano

Abstract

The objective of this essay is to generate conceptual contributions for the analysis and evaluation of urban color in cities, from the perspective of Odetti (2019), expanding the concept of color in the territory. In order to document the contributions of this study, the Systematic Literature Review (SLR). In the field of architecture and design, with the work of Serra Lluch et al., (2018) the methods of color analysis in buildings are described applying the Munsell Color Notation System and NCS (Natural Color System). Authors such as Araujo and Vallejo (2021), evaluate urban color as part of the historical and material heritage of cities, with an approach that aims to identify analyzes at different scales covering a territorial, urban, and architectural level. The historical vision of this study allows to show through time the chromatic and its relationship with the cultural, material and morphological changes that occur in urban landscapes. The analysis not only covers the physical visual evaluation, but also a more intense look through laboratory analysis with a microscope that allows to identify the color characteristics in the different historical layers of the facades analyzed. Finally, based on these new theories, new concepts are presented for the reading, interpretation and analysis of urban color and its application in the conservation and construction of identity within the nuances that build the local landscape.
