Implementation of Agile and DevOps: strategies and best practices
Abstract
In the last decade, the combined adoption of Agile and DevOps methodologies has become a strategic imperative for technology organizations. This article presents key findings from an 18-month research study analyzing 42 implementations across various sectors, proposing the ADMM (Agile-DevOps Maturity Model) as a reference framework. The results demonstrate significant operational transformations: 1500% increase in deployment frequency (from 2 to 30 daily); 99% reduction in lead time (14 days to 2 hours); Error rate decrease in production (from 38% to 3%). The methodology combined: (1) Quantitative analysis of 58 technical metrics (α Cronbach=0.89); (2) Qualitative study through interviews with technical leaders.
Three critical pillars were identified: (1) Cultural factors (50% effort): Cross-team collaboration; (2) Processes (30%): Data-driven standardization; (3) Tools (20%): Intelligent automation. The study reveals a significant correlation (p<0.05) between cultural maturity (r=0.79) and implementation success. Practical case studies and a phased implementation guide with key indicators are included. Emerging trends include: AI integration in CI/CD pipelines; Value Stream Management; Models for regulated environments.
