SHADED-POLE INDUCTION MOTORS QUANTITATIVE AND COMPARATIVE STUDY (PART 1)
Abstract
This is a study performed on several shaded-pole induction motors to be applied on the same home appliance. It consists of the following:
- Approximate reproduction, by means of a dynamometer, of their normal operating conditions under nominal load in order to retrieve and assess their input and output parameters and their temperatures
- Gathering of their manufacturing details; computing, comparing and assessing the requirements placed on their active components
- Graphing characteristic curves for their operation, and computing the parameters derived from them
The purpose is basically to contribute additional information to the knowledge of this kind of motors.
