Modelos Cognitivos de Procesamiento de Arte Visual

Resumen

El presente artículo tiene como objetivo describir modelos cognitivos de procesamiento de obras de arte visual, representativos de distintas perspectivas o líneas de investigación, incluyendo el modelo de Locher y cols. (2007), el modelo de la triada estética (Chaterjee & Vartanian, 2014), el modelo VIMAP (Pelowski et al., 2017), el modelo PIA (Graf & Landwher, 2015) y el abordaje psicohistórico (Bullot & Reber, 2013). Se puntualizan discrepancias entre ellos, y se señala el consenso respecto a la coexistencia del procesamiento de aspectos perceptuales (en gran medida automático, y basado en características superficiales del estímulo) y de significado (de carácter top-down, comúnmente asociados a conocimiento declarativo y experticia), así como la presencia de un nivel de procesamiento emocional.
