Regulación emocional de la ira y diferencias de género en la edad Preescolar
Resumen
Se exploraron los procesos de regulación emocional y las diferencias de género en niños y niñas de edad preescolar de Bogotá. Participaron 48 niños y niñas entre 54 y 60 meses de edad, en quienes se generaron respuestas de regulación social y autorregulación a partir del incremento de ira de un personaje durante una obra de títeres. Los análisis de correlaciones arrojaron relaciones significativas (p=0.01 y p=0.05) para autorregulación, que dan cuenta de la manera como el comportamiento autorregulatorio actúa en conjunto. El análisis multivariado arrojó cuatro tipos de comportamiento regulatorio que posibilitan una descripción de las características regulatorias de la edad preescolar. No se evidenciaron correspondencias por lo que el género no determinó una forma de tipificación del comportamiento. Los resultados se discuten y contrastan a la luz de los trabajos de Koop (1989), Eisenberg, Fabes, Bernzweig, Karbon, Poulin, y Hanish (1993), Brody y Hall (1993) y McCoy y Masters (1985).
