Abstract

After reviewing previous works related to competency assessment, a scheme is proposed that locates in clearly defined categories the broad repertoire of skills associated with the professional training of a graphic designer. The main intention is to organize specific competences that allow different levels of development. The proposal can be used on a daily basis or in institutional projects to redesign curricula or study plans as it allows to visualize with relative ease the impact and relevance of multiple academic activities typically associated with graphic design.
