Prólogo. Diseño y territorio social: Pasajeros en Tránsito

Abstract

This publication aims to focus on the impact of the current world context in all areas of Design, and to share a reflective regional view on the implications that we are experiencing in terms of social responsibility and the built landscape as future challenges. Similarly, the discipline of Design questions the form and relevance of teaching and learning in a reflective education system and in a world that is in constant transition. Latin American academics –from various disciplines– express the need to re-signify and revalue past techniques and artifacts of artistic expression, as well as to propose methodological and project changes, with the aim of understanding and building the world in a present in which we are only passengers in transit.
