Evidencias de validez de la Versión Corta de la Escala de Adicción a Videojuegos (GAS-SF) en una muestra de videojugadores argentinos
Resumen
El objetivo del estudio consistió en explorar evidencias de validez de la Versión Corta de la Escala de Adicción a los Videojuegos (GAS-SF) y en población argentina de videojugadores. Para ello se llevó a cabo, en primer lugar, una retrotraducción de la escala. Luego, se realizó un análisis factorial confirmatorio, de consistencia interna, de parsimonia y correlacional con el total de horas de juego por semana y los Cinco Factores de la Personalidad. La muestra fue no probabilística y estuvo compuesta por 582 videojugadores argentinos de entre 18 y 26 años (M = 21.30, DE = 0.10), de ambos sexos (hombres = 50.5%, mujeres = 49.5%). Según los resultados obtenidos, el modelo bidimensional es el que mejor se adapta a la muestra. Sin embargo, si se recurre a la correlación de errores, el modelo unidimensional se ajusta de igual manera. A su vez, se encontró una correlación positiva y significativa entre Neuroticismo y la cantidad total de horas jugadas por semana con los dos modelos analizados y una correlación negativa y significativa entre Responsabilidad, Amabilidad y Extraversión con los dos modelos. Según los resultados, se concluye que el modelo que mejor se ajusta es el bidimensional, aunque es necesario realizar más investigaciones para poder comparar los resultados obtenidos con otros estudios, mejorar la adaptación y/o los criterios de clasificación.
