Peer Review Process
Submitted papers go through a double-blind peer review process in which they are confidentially assessed by experts (the reviewers do not know about the autorship and the authors do not know who are the reviewers). The double-blind process guarantees objective judgements. Reviewers informed about the quality of the paper and if the paper reflect the latest relevant published work in the field. Then, the reviewer recommends it to be accepted or rejected. Reviewing process usually takes up to 8 weeks. The rejection rate in 2021 was 57%.
Articles may be directly accepted, accepted with revisions required (major/minor) or rejected. In the case that revisions received are in conflict, the Editor will make a decision contemplation the following rules: (1) Modifications will be solicited if at least on reviewer has requested modifications, (2) An additional reviewer will be selected if at least one reviewer has indicated that the paper should be rejected.
