Gratidão em Contextos de Risco: Uma Relação Possível?
Abstract
O presente artigo pretende apresentar e discutir as contribuições teóricas e empíricas sobre a gratidão, bem como a possível relação existente entre gratidão e contexto de risco. Historicamente, a ciência psicológica preocupou-se em investigar patologias, negligenciado os aspectos saudáveis dos seres humanos. No entanto, tal paradigma tem sido questionado pelo movimento da Psicologia Positiva que propõe um olhar para as potencialidades e virtudes humanas. A gratidão está inserida no rol de relevantes aspectos saudáveis e positivos do desenvolvimento humano. Embora crescente o interesse pelo estudo dessa emoção, ainda, são escassas as publicações acadêmicas sobre a temática. Existe uma ampla discussão sobre o conceito de gratidão como emoção, virtude moral, recurso das forças pessoais, afeto moral e característica afetiva. Embora as divergências sejam evidentes é possível identificar um consenso sobre os benefícios propostos por essa experiência, especialmente nos contextos de risco. No entanto, é necessário questionar como a gratidão pode emergir e ser cultivada em situações de total adversidade.
