Abstract

This Journal is the result of various continuities. Integrates a sequence that had begun with the Issue No. 56 Pedagogies and policies of the image also carried out in conjunction with the National University of Colombia through its Institute of studies in communication and culture - IECO and compiled by the same coordinators, Julio César Goyez Narváez and Alejandra Niedermaier, of this Journal that are always attentive to the course of the image in the contemporary visuality. Visual turns request a constant and watchful look on its evolution. The present compilation give an account of deep researches around the symbolic impact of the image, its ability to create imaginary, its manifestation as symptom of various problems and its ability to generate stories. This Journal takes into account also the different members of the communication circuit. Many writings also include studies on the educational aspects that are needed today.
